The Tour
Your hosts are direct descendants of the Maori Chiefs that helped establish Tāmaki Makaurau – the city of Auckland. As Ahi kā, the people that keep the home fires burning, it is our role to host and care for our Manuhiri, our guests.
What to expect
Tāmaki Nui takes you to key sites of cultural significance in Auckland city. You will learn about the history of Auckland from a Maori perspective, view the city from an ancestral mountain, tour a traditional Maori community with a marae and participate in some of our ancient customs.
